Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
2nd April 2006
Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen
Wind Direction: N
Wind Stength: 15-18 mph
Surf / Sea State: Flat, some chop
Air Temperature: Cool
Sea Temperature: Cool
Weather: Some sunshine
Max Speed: 28 mph (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 21.4 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Had around 3 hours of planing winds, which combined with the sunshine made for a really pleasant sail. It was a little bit cool in the northerly wind, but not too bad. Perfect burn and turn conditions, with some chop hops in the middle where the chop was steepest due to the tidal stream, but really flat nearer the banks. Also buried the hatchet (pretty much) with my mate who collided with my board and damaged it really badly a few weeks ago - I'm much happier now I have managed to get it fixed and there doesn't seem to be any complications in terms of weight / early planing / manouvering. Just hope the repair lasts! Anyway enough of that - had a great session, although could have done with just a couple more knots of wind when the tide turned.
